Wild Mediterranean Island
Wild Mediterranean Island
A journey through the lens of photographer Daniele Lorrai, featuring a selection of images captured in the heart of Sardinia at its most wild and unknown, far from the world-famous tourist resorts.
Nature, different cultures, animals and biodiversity have always been a source of inspiration for Visionnaire.
Following on from “Animalia” in 2013 and “Affinity” in 2016, from 15 November to 9 December 2019 Wunderkammer Visionnaire is hosting “Wild Mediterranean Island” a journey through the lens of photographer Daniele Lorrai, featuring a selection of images captured in the heart of Sardinia at its most wild and unknown, far from the world-famous tourist resorts.
Lorrai’s photographs offer a special insight into the island’s extraordinary natural wealth. Passion, long hours of hiding and waiting, and an eye for the perfect shot: every encounter with a wild animal arouses primordial instincts that gratify your sight and senses.
Daniele Lorrai’s images offer a convincing feeling of intimacy and connection with increasingly rare, unspoiled nature, which is unlikely to be attainable elsewhere. They represent a tribute to an ancient, unique island that holds a special position in the world’s natural history.
